Tsunami: A world of change... and more to come.
5/20/2005
I want to ensure you get the whole picture.
The world has changed. God made sure the whole world knows about
it too. The scientific evidence surrounding the events of
the deadly Tsunami has finally been made public through the Science magazine (May 2005)
detailing all the places that the quake was seismically measured, the
number of "smaller quakes" that started around the world simultaneous
to the main quake, the world wide shift of the earth's surface, the
ability to view the tsunami from space ( satellite measurements of the
wave height as it moved ), the sheer power of the quake itself (1000
MegaTon Hydrogen bombs) . It was huge, to say the
least.
But, there's more.
The earth has also gotten smaller and rounder.
It's spinning faster. The faster the spin, the shorter the
days. The Earth is no longer rotating on the same axis it was in
relation to the sun. The north pole (star) will be slightly
off. These changes mean the traditional thinking of the delicate
balance that exists between the planets and the sun, i.e. the
rhythm of the solar system must be in peril. The orbit of the earth
is altered. The year is shorter than it was, meaning, the earth
is now just a bit closer than it was before. Expect things to be
warmer. Also the delicate gravitational balance between the earth
and the moon also was altered. This even was huge, of true
astronomical proportions.
But, there's more.
The effects on weather have started to show. Floods in the US Northeast, regions that never flooded, suddenly did. Additional ocean warming ( remember, we are closer to the Sun ) is also being measured. The first hurricane (Adrian) of the season, is actually early, meaning it is out of season. Like a match flame we will see a continuance of effects on our weather. Droughts in all parts of the world, a giant wave in calm seas crashed into a cruise liner, grapefruit sized hail
in Denver,CO. all happened within just the month of April 2005.
Climatic changes will be measurable and differentiated from all times
in history as they pour through the new data that will amass over the
coming years.
But there's more.
According to the Word of God, "there shall be famines, and pestilences,
and earthquakes, in divers places." (Matt 24,7) Droughts
and famine are related. Earthquakes and waves are related.
Of interest, is the New King James which is quoted above uses the word "divers" instead of "diverse". Other translations changed this word to "various". However, earthquakes in the water happen in the same place that diver's dive.
But there's more.
According to the Word of God, "And except those days should be shortened,
there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days
shall be shortened." (Matt 24:22) What a profound word, and
only 15 verses away from the above verse about the earthquakes.
It is possible that God truly knew that the world would be changed,
moved, adjusted and altered by the earthquake of Dec 26, 2004?
Are more on the way? Will the days keep getting shorter?
Are the days as short as they could possibly get, or are more stronger earthquakes to be expected?
But there's more.
Between these two verses is the time period of tribulation.
A hard time where men act as gods seeking their own pleasures, and not
seeking to speak of the righteousness of God. Genesis declares
that we were made by God for God's purpose. While we were made good our goodness waned when men fell by the sin of Adam. While we can't redeem ourselves and once again declare ourselves good
we certainly can declare we need a Savior, Jesus Christ, who is
Righteous and Good and let Him lead us to salvation. The period
of tribulation will be
a time when those things we thought were real and permanent, like
orbits, rain, and sun will no longer be taken for granted.
Instead the new norm will be pleading to Almighty God for a drop of
water to soothe our tongues. The period of tribulation
will be a time when many will try to save the world, and fail.
Then, when they see someone who can stop the depravity, stop the down
spiral of the stock market, stop the looting, put food on the table,
make great empty political promises that cannot and will not be kept -
they will give him the governments of the world to run. They will
give him authority over the ecumenical churches, and some will bow to
him even taking a mark of obedience. The technology is there
today to find you wherever you are, whenever they want to. Some
even buy it in a cell phone, GPS, or hidden in the tag attached to your
shirt collar. RFID is everywhere. Finally in a fit of pride, this person will call himself God before all the people.
But there's more.
This tribulation is
nearly here. It's so close that we can almost touch it. Do
you want to live through it? Or would your prefer that the days were shortened
so that they would go by faster? Jesus called the period of
earthquakes, droughts, famine and pestilence something special, "All
these are the beginning of sorrows." ( Matt 24,8) The tsunami was
terrible. It was sorrowful. So sorrowful that almost every
world country sent money to help the victims. Some countries are
helping drought affected countries by sending water to the drought
affected areas. It's sorrowful.
But there's more.
It's only the beginning.
It's going to continue to happen.
It's not going to stop, because we the children of God are not stopping
what has angered him from the beginning. Sin. If you
don't know what sin is, ask someone. If you don't know how to get
out of sin, let me give you the answer... Jesus our Savior
Christ. If you don't know how to get to Christ let me give you
that answer - ask Him to accept you. But I warn you, He will only
accept you if you are ready to renounce your sin of the past, and
declare you are going to be a new person - changed on the inside - as
righteous as you can be without getting proud.
But there's more.
In the end, when the tribulation
comes your salvation and the help of Jesus Christ as your Savior will
guarantee you a place in heaven when you leave the earth. Without
Jesus as your Savior, when you die you will be nothing more than food
for the birds. Don't believe me? When the earthquake opens
your casket and the worms feed on you, then the birds feed on the
worms, you're nothing but bird food. But, with the promise of
salvation, you are kings and princes, rulers of great cities and
peoples because it's the promise of Christ.
It's only the beginning.
It's going to happen.
Where will you be?
Ask Jesus to be your Savior now. // Lord Jesus, do you
remember me? I'm sorry for doing the things I've done that have
made you angry. I have failed to be the best that I can be.
I don't even know what you want of me. But, if You will help me,
I will listen. If You help me, I will do better. Will you
help me? Will you be my Savior? I want to go to heaven when
I die, not to hell. Whatever it takes, please, don't let me go to
hell. I might be scared as I say this, and I might be
crying, but don't let me go. Be my safety. Be my
guide. Be the thing in my life that I need most. Help me to
know what you want. I love you. Amen. //
God loves you.
He is so merciful.
God bless you on your journey.
