The Spirit of Truth, a Sinless Guide

Part 2:  Sinless when following the Spirit

1 John 3:4-8 "The Spirit Guided person: (1) Sinless by Truth  (2) Bears good Fruit"
The Spirit of God works to put an end to evil.  If you follow Him ( Jesus and the Holy Spirit ) you cannot sin because
God cannot sin.  It is when you don't follow that you sin.
Romans 8:1 "No condemnation"
If you follow the Spirit, like Jesus, you will be blameless.  You might be accused by man, but not condemned by God.
Romans 8:5-9 "The spirit vs. the flesh"
Discussion: "Cannot please God"  ( Note: Faith pleases God too.  Hebrews 11:6)
Romans 8:14 "Lead by the Spirt, are children of God"
Discussion: what would a Father not give his child?  A child who pleases his Father receives more.
Romans 8:15-17 "The spirit vs. bears witness."
We have learned that the Spirit witnesses Christ so Christ can witness His Father.  This one is  personal.  The Spirit
witnesses that we are God's children.  Note, we must also suffer with Him.  It is not a free ride.
Romans 8:26-27 "Spirit, Praying, Intersession"
The Spirit is strong when we are weak, an empty vessel.  (When we are strong, we may be prideful and in sin.)
The spirit of man, in us, knows the Spirit of God.  We may not be able to say everything, our mind may be cluttered.
Tounges releases our hearts to pray in the Spirit.  ( Remember: God knows English, German, French, Spanish and
tongues.)  Note: The "acceptable prayers" are the prayers that line up with "the will of God."  It is, therefore,
important to know the "will of God" before you pray so that you can receive what you "ask for."
1 Cor: 2:14 "Hearing, Praying, Faith, Tongues, Belief are from the Spirit."
Don't let the evil one take away from you today's lesson.  Receive it in your spirit.

Summary:  The Holy Spirit is put in place for the children of God to do the will of God.  God directs and uses those who
love and fear Him, ie. those who follow His commandments.  It is for us to seek God through His Scriptures so that we
know (1) what is His will  (2) what pleases Him.  We also will need to gain discernment of His word in our hearts.  Then
we will be truly lead by the Spirit of God.
