Plein Air Watercolor in the Hudson Valley with Staats Fasoldt
Visit a sampler of historic Hudson River sites in the Poughkeepsie area with watercolorist, Staats Fasoldt, who will emphasize his direct approach to outdoor landscape painting. Students of all levels will receive personal instruction in using watercolors and assistance in designing and executing outdoor landscape paintings. This is one of the best and most enjoyable ways of experiencing nature and art in the lovely Hudson Valley! The gardens and grounds of Vanderbilt Mansion, Franklin Roosevelt's home, and Eleanor Roosevelt’s Val-kill are on the agenda. In case of inclement weather, classes will meet at Barrett House and students will work indoors on watercolor techniques.
