Scout Fleet 2002 will give these young mariners a chance to share their program with the nation and get to know Sea Scouts from other parts of the country.
The Boy Scouts of America established a Sea Scouting branch in 1912, as a program for older boys interested in small boat management and seamanship. Today the program serves thousands of young men and women throughout the nation. While this program has always been a small part of the overall scouting movement, it has made a tremendous impact on the young people whose lives it has touched. It is this story that Scout Fleet 2002 will celebrate!
