to meet at West Point Military Academy

April 9 through 11th, 2002

River Navigators, community partners, federal agencies and interested parties are set to attend the AHRI (American Heritage Rivers Initiative) River Navigator’s Conference hosted by the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York on April 9 through 11th, 2002.

AHRI is a community-led, community-driven effort, brought together in common cause to bring about a balanced use of our rivers. AHRI focuses on balancing protection of the environment, preservation of history and culture and economic revitalization to meet the needs and visions of its communities.

This event includes presentations by the Hudson River Valley Greenway, the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area and Hudson River Estuary Management Program. Tours of the Village of Haverstraw, and the Fort Montgomery Battlefield will highlight areas of interest to ATARI.
