Rondout Lighthouse.
Tours of the Rondout Lighthouse are available at the Hudson River Maritime Museum, Kingston, NY, during the months of May through October. The lighthouse is located on the Hudson River at the mouth of Rondout Creek, a short boat trip from the museum. Access to the lighthouse is provided by the museum's motor launch Indy, which operates on a regular schedule during the summer months.

The Rondout Lighthouse is operated by the Hudson River Maritime Museum. It contains period furnishings and exhibits documenting the history of the three Rondout lighthouses, their keepers and families. You can explore this early 20th Century structure, watch river barges, watch for swans and cormorants, and enjoy a spectacular view of the Hudson River from the top of the tower.

Schedule of tours and fees. It's always a good idea to check with the museum to confirm the availability of the lighthouse tours before planning a visit.

With modestly priced, scheduled boat rides and guided tours, the Rondout Lighthouse is one of the most accessible of any of the seven Hudson River lighthouses.
