Barbara Fratianni named
executive director
Hudson-Fulton-Champlain
Quadricentennial Commission

Oct. 19, 2005 Barbara Fratianni was named executive director of the Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial Commission. Fratianni will head the commission planning for a celebration in 2009 of the 400th anniversary of the voyages of Henry Hudson and Samuel de Champlain and of the 200th anniversary of Robert Fulton's inaugural steamboat run.

Fratianni replaces Donald Kasprzak, who after just eight months on the job, resigned in June, 2005, as executive director of the Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial Commission.
