Half Moon replica returns to Verplanck

5:30 pm, Oct. 17, 2003
Corning Preserve
Albany, NY

The Half Moon will cast off its dock lines in Albany at 5:30 on Friday, Oct. 17. Please join us for a send-off of the ship, and to recognize Janine Oosterloo, who will return to her home in the Netherlands. Cards and expressions of regard are great, but no gifts. The ship will depart from its berth in the Corning Preserve, bound for our winter berth at King Marine in Verplanck.

Anyone who has been to the ship has seen how great it looks, due to Janine's leadership and hard work. She looks forward to returning in the future, and we will miss her while she is gone.

We will finish our school tours on Friday, and break down the gangway and mooring lines just before departure. Anyone who can lend a hand would be welcome to help.
