Racing a sailboat is an exhilarating experience, testing one's mind, skills and agility. The Kingston Sailing Club is looking for crew members for sailboat races on Sundays between 10 am and 4 pm. There are two series of races:

  • The Spring series starts May 10th and ends June 29th
  • The Fall series starts August 31st and ends October 19th

All levels of experience are welcome. For more information, contact Barry Medenbach, 845-687-0041 ext. 101.

The Kingston Sailing Club's spring organization meeting will be held Sunday, April 27, 10 am, at the Kingston Power Boat Association, Abeel Street, Kingston, NY.

The Kingston Sailing Club coordinates and hosts weekly sailboat races for its members on the Hudson River, near Kingston, New York. There is a spring and fall series of 16 races each, including the annual Spinnenweber Cup in late spring and the Maritime Cup Race in the fall. The club features an amicable racing environment, great for both beginner and experienced racers.

Racing is open to all boat sizes and designs. As a minimum, a Jib and Main (JAM) fleet and a Spinnaker (SPIN) fleet are established for each series. A One Design fleet may be established if enough boats are registered for a series. Boats are assigned a handicap based on PHRF. The club also hosts an annual Moon Light Sail in late August as well as raft-ups and other social events.
