Well, what can I say? Spring is in the air and the aromatic smell of cigars and the warm weather of summer are going to make the perfect mix.  A few new items have hit the cigar market, but I don't see any real standouts among them.  The big craze at the momment is the "Havana 2000" wrapper.  Yawn.  It's too bad that the cigar industry has become so gimmick oriented.  I wish more companies would work as hard at making quality, handmade, long leaf filler cigars, as they do at creating slick marketing schemes.  The best cigars out there seem to be the the old lables that heve concentrated on the cigar, not the advertisements.  I'm also amazed at many of the cigar smokers out there who, just because a magazine gives a cigar a high rating, run out and try to stock your humidor full of them, never even having tried the stick!  For godsake, try the stick first!  As I say in my reviews, everyone's taste is different, what I find appealing in a cigar, YOU may not.  Reviews and ratings are just guidelines to help you diversify your smoking experience, they are not an edict from a supreme being. DO NOT assume that just because a cigar recieved a 98% from Cigar Afficinado that you will like it.
