Cleoma's Ghost offers a Cajun music experience for background or smaller settings as well as the dance hall. This traditional Cajun music is compelling and sassy... infinitely danceable. As we play, our love for this music and the Cajun culture shines through and it is contagious to our audiences! The guitar, fiddle and vocals capture a wonderful duality of emotions with the sad lyrics and heart wrenching melodies superimposed on happy, driving, up tempo rhythms. That duality grabs the listener on a very visceral level.....people who have never heard Cajun music before as well as Cajun music diehards are captivated by something they feel in their souls. As part of our own evolution, we have added harmonies to many of our songs.
Two voices blending create a synergy that draws out even more of the emotive
force inherent in Cajun music. We have been playing Cajun music together for
the past nine years and we both bring our past musical experiences to Cleoma's
Ghost as well. In that way it is truly a wonderful Gumbo of Cajun styles;
blues, folk, swing, the hills of Appalachia and the Catskills. Cleoma's Ghost
will capture your heart and leave you wanting more. And more you can have,
