Happy New Year, Cigar Fans! I hope you are all enjoying the New Year. The beginning of another year brings with renewed interest in smokeable delights. I was, unfortunately, hit pretty hard by the flu which stopped my cigar enjoyment dead in it's tracks. But, I'm back now feverishly smoking to bring you the gentle reader more cigar reviews. Remember: I ONLY PRINT REVIEWS OF CIGARS I FIND WORTH SMOKING!!! If I've smoked a cigar that, to put it bluntly, SUCKED, you will not see it listed here in the reviews. Smoking a cigar should be an enjoyable experience not an ordeal. The wrapper shouldn't explode, you shouldn't have suck like a vacuum to get smoke out of it, it shouldn't keep going out (unless you put it down for long periods of time), it shouldn't burn horribly uneven, and it shouldn't taste like it's been soaked in ammonia or leave any other foul taste or flavor in your mouth. With that out of the way you should be able to tell which cigars are not good. Now, on occasion even the finest cigars will suffer one of the above shouldn'ts, you may find one of two in a box that are plugged or a hard draw, an uneven burn, or that burst the wrapper, but, as a rule, the more you pay for a cigar the less this should happen and it should never happen to more than one or two out of a full box regardless of the price. So what do you do if you have these problems? Don't buy that brand anymore, switch to something a little more consistent. To find out if there are problems with a particular brand ask your local cigar retailer or check resources like this web page. Don't forget to check out the new additions to my reviews and remember get out and enjoy those stogies!
